in middle of bike...weird sort of brick.

Bike n Bitch at the lab...perfect.  Felt kind of tired today and my bum is sore from speed work and run stability yesterday.  :(

Hit REI thinking of spending my free $ only to watch my buddy Kate buy a purse AND some vibrams.  I hope the web site carries Oakleys....I'd like another pair and my check would cover half.  Fingers Crossed!

Packet Pick up with Jo and Paul in the evening, met some of the MPOY crazy fast boys, (saw some fraser peeps too!) and Jo, Paul and I had dinner afterwards.  A nice friday! :)

Had to take the slacker middle schooler early for math help (grrrr) so I decided to get my hard run done and swim with Kate.  It was kind of nice not procrastinating all day to get my run in!  :)  And it went really well, which I wasn't too sure of since I never really do speed work in the am.  I was hoping to suprise Kate at the pool, but I saw Terese and she bailed.  I ran into a high school friend, so I yapped with her instead of rushing to swim. :)  I had a great swim too.  I had to finish the workout I'd copped out on yesterday, and it went well.  Now I hope my legs don't punish me for running hard so close to a long run. We shall see come Saturday!

easy run from home. HR was totally jacked in the beginning of the run. :( Wish the garmin would get it together!

Nice run from home.  Switched out the workouts though...no way can I do vo2max today.  Didn't drink enough water today and almost had serious calf cramps last night.  Major twinges but didn't happen.  Have a trip to AA too to see Miss Kaity perform...didn't want to press my luck on leg cramps! :)

Well...how long does it take Trish and Kate to swim 2100 meters?  3 hours.  1 in the locker room, .5 hour on the pool deck (long enough for the whippersnapper lifeguard to tease us about not swimming lol) 55 minutes to swim and another .5 hour to bubble tub and clean up. LMAO!  That girl is a hoot!  We really really really didn't want to swim.  Really.  But at long last, we did and gave a good hard effort once we got started.  Seriously.  Sometimes you just can't get it done with out your friends to shove you along!

The bike tonight was TOUGH!  Gahh!  Got it done, but my math was bad and I though we were done with the threshold sets when we had one left.  :(  Then the last build set you know will just blow come threshold and vo2max.  It didn't disappoint.  It blew.  BUT...I got it done, in all the zones  prescribed and beat Pat till the last bit of active recovery, when he was pushing tempo to catch me.  Lol.  That boy cracks me up!

No motivation what so ever today.  Its been a long time since I've woken up a tad polluted from drinking the night before!  Ate carbs all morning, made cookies in the late afternoon and ate those and finally got some veggies in at dinner.  I was supposed to ride easy for 1:15, but feel pretty amazed that I got the 45 minutes in before heading to Jo's for our Sunday night date.  And more wine.  Such a bum today!

Inside Out Duathlon at Fraser Bike.

Beat Pat...YAY bragging rights for the year!  Did not get 3rd female like I'd hoped (would have been a little cash in it).  Got beat by Jules on the bike and run. :(  She and Eric are the new power couple lol!

Good time at the store afterwards with my teammates, infinite folks, the product reps and customers.  I managed to NOT make a purchase, which is quite the miracle!
