With Andrea at lab...private session as I was the only one who showed. Did that damn firelog pose! Ow!!!

Had a great yoga session with Andrea (including some laughs) pre ride, got to cheer Lainey on during her 2x20 powertest, and did my itb and core exercises post ride.  Was in bed when my girl called at 10:50pm.  Chatted till about 11:20, then told her Mommy needs sleep...6am swim waits for no one! :)

Good swim...all but warm up with fins.  5 in our lane today.  Got to swim with Seashell! :)  Did dolfin kick underwater and on back.  Good core.  Messed up the second tag race.  I went first for our team and did tarzan drill again.  I didn't hear coach say free or your choice. Doh! FUN! :)

all en ride

Lots of errands today, lots of little frustrations in the afernoon.  Good EN ride to loosen up the legs.  Chose to not swim so I could get to bed on time, but ended up running next door to hear all about Big Sur from the fabulous Jogo! :)

Stony MTB trail...awesomeness!

Mmnmm...slept in which was WONDERFUL!  :)  Sticks are a little sore...right calf and a bit in the quads going down stairs.  Jo is running Big Sur, Ranger is running the Poto 50k (after his half on that bad assed trail yesterday) and yesterday was a fab day for friends and Fraser racers.  :)

Got lots of chores done around the house. Oh, there is plenty more to do, but I'm ready for the chairs to be delivered tomorrow.

Got inspired by Jo's pr and Rangers awesome run to go to the trails.  It was beautiful.  Ran in a skirt, no music, just me and the woods and the critters and sounds and smells.  Pine, lilac ,birds, earth.  Heaven.  I miss the freedom of the trails!  Ran it at the same pace and a lower hr than winter.  Fitness is making it's way to me finally!  Dave got dinner prepared  while I was gone and it was delish.  So nice he let me go play, while he played in the kitchen! :)

run John to the finish!

Met Steve and John to race at Let's Move half...cold and kind of windy so opted for the underarmour and Fraser jacket!  Happy I had the stuff to layer up in the car with me!

Very happy about this run.  Executed 8:50s till 7.5 miles and 8:45's pretty much the rest of the run.  Got tougher after running through the finishline, and turning around running away from the finish at pace.  Saw John but had a bit more to go and overestimated.  Had to chase him at 8:30's to catch up to run him in to the finish.  He had 2.5 minutes to pr...pushed him along cheering the whole way.  It was awesome!  Steve was frozen and didn't run the extra miles with me, so I got the be the one helping out at the finish for a change. :)

Gu's at 4 and 8, one power chew at 12.  Practiced drinking at just about every aid station.  Worked very hard at holding pace and not going out too fast in the first few miles, and stayed focused on holding faster than 8:50's in the second half of the run.  Got tough after the finish, but just kept trucking.  Calf was ouchie on the right, and the top lower right quad was sore too.  Took 5 MAP before run and may have helped me feel good longer.

After the race we changed at Johns, and went out to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings...yep...I had wings.  And fried pickles.  Not the best post race food, but I did have my recovery drink. Then it was off to the lab to ride!

Legs were pretty tired, but this was more time in the saddle than anything else.  Happy I was able to complete the run well on kind of tired legs, then get my ride done.  Was pretty pooped the rest of the day, but had dinner out with Brian, his girlfriend, my brother and sis in law, then a movie back at the house.  Good Saturday!

IM Australia course today...a couple evil climbs...up to 10%!  Last bit I was soft pedaling a tad...got distracted when Annilese showed up.  Legs felt really good.  Effort of late has been at or above wattage and feeling good.  Finally a little fitness seems to be catching up to my riding volume.  About time!

Got the fit tweaked on Fiona with Chris today.  Hoping to help with my itb issues and ouchies that tend to show up on right side.  We shall see. :)

Long run tomorrow, then back to the lab for 2 more hours in the saddle.  Good thing I love my bike! :)

Lots of kicking today...I still go so slow when I kick!  The 200's for time were 3:17, and 3:16.  Starting to get some swim fitness back.  Starting.  Still doing the windmill when I increase cadence.  WTF...I've been working on this issue for EVER!  Focused on rotation and glide in the second hundred and felt a tiny bit longer in the last 50.  A starting point. :)  Love swimming with Batman...Corey said we looked like syncronised swimmers lol!  We will be good fodder for one another for sure.  He asked what my goal  for IMFL is...lol.  I answered, kick my own ass! ;)  Way to early to be thinking about IM swim times.  I've got so much to do before then!
