Easy spin on the Chaussee to stay fresh. Rough road..
Record pace running. Felt great. Probably because I was running from the lake.
Can you say holy shit batman?? 3-4' waves crashing in on us. There was no way. Let my full blown anxiety kick in. By evening, I had a headache the size of Texas. Lake Erie is not something to be messed with.
September 9
Travel day to Sandusky, OH. Stayed at Hotel Breakers. Hotel is decent. First impression is not the best as they don't know anything about the race ie: where to check in, anything..
September 7
WU: 250
MS: 6x50 hard.. (did every one of these in 57 secs.) on the 1:15
250
CD: 200 pull
I have a flat tire on my road bike, which is on the trainer. Rather than messing with that, I ditched the ride and just went for a run instead. Ran on the trails at home with Eddie and Max. They had fun. Who knew a cat would like running?? LOL!!
I am going to go to the funeral home tomorrow and spend some time with my grandma there. I'm going to have my very own private pre-funeral. Bless my mom for arranging that for me. Plus, I'm spending the whole day with my mom. That will be nice. I will be able to go to Sandusky and be at peace with my decision.
Then, it's business as usual. Leaving for OH on Thursday as planned and I'm going to give it hell. I didn't spend the last year, including having foot surgery, for nothing!

My race report is up. Feel free to read and learn from my mistakes! I am so excited to have done this race. I couldn't have done it without the love and support from my family, my friends, my tri family, and most importantly, Mike. Thank you so much for all of the positive encouragement and advice. I really appreciate it!! Next up, the Boilerman!!
