It looks like someone else who ran Cowtown with a gps also had the course 2/10 of a mile long per lap--which puts the marathon at .4 miles long.  If that's the case, then my pace would have been 10:44/mi--still not great, but a bit better, and a 20 second/mile improvement over RNRAZ.

Well, new item to shop for--a yoga mat! That crappy foam sucker kept sliding out on me!

Well, the doc appt went a bit longer than I expected, and was rather depressing.  Since I then had to go get my prescriptions filled, I skipped the workout yesterday.  Today was supposed to be a rest day, but I may try to hit a yoga class at lunch--my first yoga class!

Follow-up appointment with the doc this afternoon.  I think the smart money is on her putting me on blood pressure meds. :(

Then, I have a "cross training" workout.  Since it's supposed to be chilly all day today, I'm thinking of doing a pilates class--I'm trying to remember when I last got to do one of those!

Rest Day!  I cannot remember the last time I did not have some kind of workout to do on a weekend day.

At Lair O the Bear. Started running the 10 miler with regimom, but quickly realized that was a bad idea. I was still hurting from last weekend's marathon! So I "hiked" some, and cheered in the awesome BTers out there racing: Dick Dime (1st OA), Julia (1st Woman OA), MarkDills (4th OA, 3rd AG), Regimom, Skarl, Chrisp (and sons Max and Alex--who did the 2 miler)!

Great time hanging out with the BT crew who decided to run on dirt this morning!  The company far surpassed the food at "brunch."  Bloody Mary's are not quite mimosas.  I was jipped--someone owes me a mimosa! ;)

Felt a bit awkward in the water. But then, it had been 6 or 7 weeks since my last swim. Chatted for a few minutes with a guy I know to be a triathlete. Turns out he did the Virginia Double Ironman last weekend!

There's purple in my graph.  Tee-hee! :)

Is it wrong that I'm getting a kick out of smelling, ever-so-slightly, of chlorine?
