Christoff's Frivolities

Wanted this to be an easy pace ride. I listened to the body... Watched the HRM... and was still able to push a really good pace. I don't know if it was the recovery week last week, the massage yesterday, or what, but I will take it.
If this can be what I see at the HIM I will be very, very pleased.

Not a very good swim. Goggles came off going into the water and just would not seal... Then my HR strap stated falling off. It just did not start well and kinda threw me off
Run to transition area
Add a two minute penalty for "illegal passing" which is absolute crap. Slow biker passing another bike not all the way to the right. Basically the racer being passed is in the middle of the road. Referee to the left of the passing racer. I am gaining on all of them. There is no road to pass. They all are not riding to the right. How about getting the passer and the referee for blocking??? Only open road is to the right. So am I supposed to slow down and wait? I guess so.
Rest of the ride was uneventful. I pushed too hard and stomach started yelling at me after the second gel. Slowed it down before the run.
Stomach was mad coming off the bike. About mile 2 I started to feel a hot spot on my right pinky toe. Blister started really talking by mile 4.
Last mile was the fastest at 7:25

Recovery run... Just took it very easy... Felt pretty good.
Morning swim... Just trying to get something in.

Hot... No wind... but surprisingly okay... Drank four bottles of water... 1 packet of blocs... It was enough I think. Still a little dehydrated feeling... but riding in 90-95 degree temps will do that.

Nice and temperate this morning. Some humidity but not stuffy. Run started off a little rough and had to make a pit stop around mile 5... Thankfully I run around in my neighborhood. I hope that I can keep this pace for the half-mary part of the HIM. It will be very dependant on temperature and pacing on the bike.
