Better each year

Road bike on the trainer. Four sets of 5' intervales - 2 moderate, 2 hard.
Sheesh what a crappy evening/morning.
Neighbor notices flat tire -> slow leak/still usable? ... air it up... nope, I can hear it -> change to spare (donut) -> donut needs air too, so air it up -> kids in car --> car won't start -> battery weak (tire pump is off battery) -> find cables and jump car.....
Ugh... to top it off, apparently the tire shops can't (won't) repair the flat, as I must have driven on it at least a little while it was going flat. So now I've got to figure out new tires.
Take Beth's car to work? Nope. It's going in this morning to find a leak in the AC before we have to drive to Houston.

Swapping out the run for an easy bike ride. Try to heal up before the race this weekend.
Just an easy hour on road bike on the trainer. Legs were actually more stiff than I expected, which made it hard to get started.

Always 1 mile WU/CD. After warm up for the duration of your run 6 minutes easy zone 1-2; followed by 1 minute pickup zone 3 can creep into zone 4. Force back to zone 1-2 during easy section.
Ran pretty much to plan. No HRM, so just guessed at the pickup intensity. Nice evening to be out running. Hip/groin pull still slightly bothersome. :(

RBM/Arbor Hills route two loops, plus Josie/544 to 121. Used the Christmas-gift aero helmet for the first time. Very nice.
No HRM, but tried to keep a harder, Z3 effort for the second half.
T2: 2:21
Heritage park loop, around the street, plus end of block. Legs were mostly back ~.75 mi, and felt pretty good by 1.25~1.5mi.

Was only scheduled for an easy, short spin today on the bike. But I slept too late, and then Ryan work up early... and that was that. Oh well... looks like I'm getting more taper than I should for a 'C' race.
