Ran 10 minutes south on Wabash, then 10 minutes north. Legs felt strong and ready. Whether this all comes together on Sunday for me is the only remaining quetion on this journey. We'll see.

It's cold here in Chicago. Probably will wear a running shirt short sleeve under a long sleeve and shorts, a pair of gloves, and that's it right now. Depends on how the weather comes together.

I've really enjoyed walking around Chicago with friends, did Millenium park, the bean.. which is really cool, the grant park fountain, and of course the expo, also hit up what I will easily call the best italian food I have ever eaten, place called Pizano's It was perfect. I ate Fettuchini in garlic and olive oil, done perfectly. The atmosphere was excellent as well. Strangely, this is stuff we cannot get in atlanta. I wonder why? Perhaps because Atlanta is a city in transition, or a city, becoming a urban center. It will get there..

I'm trying not to think too much this weekend, just be here and enoy it. Easier said than done at moments, but everything is as expected and all good.

Next post will be after the event. I'm not nervous at all, and I am focused. Hopefully I am in pain, not the injured kind, but the effort kind. The sweet pain of knowing you did your best and left it all out on the streets. Right now, the streets of Chicago seem like the perfect place to leave lit all.

update: i went from being not nervous to a basket case in a matter of minutes at the dinner.

Great way to end training for Chicago. This run was perfect. I'm really sorry for all those people who talked themselves out of it due to the weather. It warmed up, and stopped raining and ended up being perfect out there.

Getting some good rest for this weekend. Taper is going good, everything else is as well. Steady as she goes.

Intervals. Indoors due to weather. Ran them at a 9.2 setting on the treadmill. That equates to a 6:31 min mile.
