Short easy run with a couple race-pace accelerations (<5min each). Didn't feel particularly smooth today...seems to be the way things have been going the past week or so. I may have over-shot my peak by 5-7 days.

Hitting the road for Boston this afternoon.  We are spending the night at my dad's in PA tonight and then heading out to Bean Town Sat morning.

It's SPRING and it's THURSDAY!  Thursday is a hashing day!  Man, I've been waiting for the extra daylight and warm temps for months so I can get back out to the hash.  I'm not much of a cold weather hasher.  I only run in the cold because I have to train.  So, I'm off to run around in the woods for a while and then enjoy a couple cold ones.  This tapering thing isn't so bad after all :)

April 12

Today was a rest day although I did go for a brisk 45min walk after work.  It was just too nice out there to not get outside and anjoy it a little.

Race Pace interval run on my usual 10 mile loop. I started with 10min warm up and then alternated 10min at race pace effort with 5min of recovery. The race pace intervals should have been 160-162bpm but I kept creeping up around 164+. On the recoveries I tried to keep a decent pace that would allow my HR to drop down to ~150bpm.
