Tri Training

Swam at the QUT pool. This year I'm going to master the flip turn. I have started to turn at each alternate lap and so far when I flip I end up at the bottom of the pool. Need to work out why.
First day back at work today :( ........ time to get back into shape and work off some of those Chrissy kilos I've put on. My holidays were just fantastic, spent way too much time in the sun and I've had plenty of drinkies and eaties to last me a life time and now, back to my training routine (at least until the end of the week as I have another 2 weeks of holidays planned).
Swim today and off to the running group tomorrow morning for a 3k time trial (I'd like to run close to 12 minutes). I'd also like to get in 2 good rides this week as well.
It seems that I won't be able to make the tri I had planned for the 21 Jan as I'm going to be away on holidays. I'm a bit disappointed as these races always help me stay motivated with my training. I'll need to find another way to stay motivated.

Rode to work and then rode around the river on the way home.
Had a super session with the running group this morning. We started with our normal 2.5 k warm up, followed by the 3k time trial and then a 2.5k warm down. I did the first 1500 of the time trial in 5:56 and managed a negitiative split of 5:54 to get home. I'm stoked with my 11:50 for the 3k and can't believe I ran at 3:56 per k pace (if only I could do this in a race).
