10 days smoke free. Had the biggest challenge so far last night. Went to friends for drinks, and one of them smoked... I survived with a little help from my friends and definitely from Dia!... I didn't smoke at all! I am really proud of myself. I could not have done it had it not been for Dia... I started to cave several times, and she helped me out... Thanks Love! Now that I made it through that challenge, I know I can quit for good this time...

Going to run tonight. Need to post some miles for November Challenge Team 1!

Update! - Got my "run on tonight".... 5.87 miles a new PR!!! Yes! I think I am ready to tackle the 10k... Want to do another week or two at this distance.. I do need to back the cadence off though.. tonight hurt. I think I need to work on being able to hit 6.2 consistent, then work on the speed... But I have definitely found my nitch.. The mantra, the cadence... I love to run!

Off day today, but I am going to start with my abs workout to get a jump on the numbers. I do need to revise though from minutes to sessions. Going to email my captain and Dee to see if we can shift the goal type.

Thinking abut a new tagline....

"Now I am only smoking when I run! Smoke free since October 24th, 2007."

Feeling like crap today. Horrible mood, and had no sleep last night... Should make for a very interesting Halloween...

UPDATE to Yesterday: Completely ditched my plan to run lastnight. Had an 8:30 meeting this morning that I could not miss, so that means I will leave work around 4 and run my tail off this evening.

Today Update: Ran out 2 more miles for the Living Dead! Yaaahhooo!!! Go LD!!!

Anybody can become angry - that is easy, but to be angry with the right person and to the right degree and at the right time and for the right purpose, and in the right way - that is not within everybody's power and is not easy.

Still feeling like crap with the stomach. Not sure what the deal is.... Went to bed @ 2 this morning. I figured if the brain was running hard there was no reason to lay their in the bed, so I did a little blogging... Getting ready for the November Challenge...

OK... SO I set my goal to the end of the year.... I am currently at 120 miles on the year. I want to be t 200 miles by January 1... I have a 40 mile goal for November, which leaves me with 35 miles for December.. I think this is a goal I can hit...

Going to take today as a recovery run. Some great times and distances this week since I changed the breathing cadence... Don't want ot push my luck. Lot's o' potasium today.. Let the muscles rebuild a little. I have less than 2 miles to bang out to meet my October Challenge goal... Go Dead!

BTW, it is time for the November Challenge, and you can set "Whatever goal you want", so get out there to the Challenge Me forum, and get challenged!

Awesome run tonight. That was the fastest I have run 3 miles... The change in breathing cadence has made all of the difference. Glad I read that article in Runners World!

Stomach is rough, been that way since about 12 or so... not sure if it is where I drank lastnight, or if I am getting something. So I wanted to go run to make sure I met me goal... Less than two miles to meet now, and I DEFINITELY plan to break it!

Tonights mantra is brought to you by Mothergoose.....

"Run, run as fast as you can, you can't catch me, I'm the Gingerbread Man!"

Go Living Dead!!!

Spent the day at our Son's Airforce JR ROTC Drill Meet. Had a GREAT DAY! They only took one award, but competing against 24 schools was hard. Good stuff though.. We were on our feet from 7am to 5 in the afternoon, then off to a couple of gatherings with friends... Good relaxing evening.
