Pretty happy with today's race.  I'd still like to eventually get down under 2 hrs but this was a pretty good improvement. I took over 4.5 mins off since my race in April.  That's nearly 30 secs a mile....not too bad, plus I think this was a harder course.  I did much better with cutting out most of my walks and making sure that the ones I took were short, more like 30-45 secs.

430am....getting ready to head home for a few hrs of sleep....Got a little rest last night but a screwed up shift...started out busy as crap, then nearly watched a coworker die.  He's had some medical issues in the past but has been doing really well.  He was driving to work and started having trouble breathing which got really bad. Fortunately, he was on his way in to work when it happened.  He managed to make it to our main station and get help. I was at the hospital dropping off a patient when he got there.  Nobody else from our administration was immediately available so I spent 3 hrs in the Emergency Room with him and his wife until he stabilized.  By the time I left, he was doing much better.  We see this kind of stuff every day but it always hits harder when it's someone you know.

Crappy, crappy run. HR was way up today. Was supposed to be a HR run, keeping under 150. Felt worse than I do on a lot of my bricks. Just plugged along to finish it. Not happy with this workout at all.

zone 2 trainer ride

Didn't get to bed till 1 last night but didn't get up until 10  :)  Feel much better now.  6 days till the half-mary!

Gonna ride later while I watch the Panthers.  I'd love to predict an upset against the Colts but I don't see it happening.  I'd be happy not to get blown out.
