Time to get back on the bike!!

Yellow square day for today. I will pack for the weekend this evening.
I got an e-mail from Ford Ironman Couer d'Alene this morning!! I got excited, then opened it and it was about bike transport!!
I have A/C again. Only got me for $85. The part (capacitor) was still under warranty. I could not have installed it cheaper myself b/c only a licensed dealer can file for the warranty so I would have had to pay $99 for the capacitor to install it myself!!

I have never seen so much traffic on the road than yesterday. It was miserable. I normally ride this route a lot and have never seen the traffic I saw yesterday. After riding last week and hardly seeing a car, this was disappointing. My legs were no responsive yesterday as well. I hope they get energetic by Saturday!! This is definitely not my A-race but I would like to do well.
I plan to bike today so I can get use to the race wheels!! Hopefully it will happen but I have to meet the A/C guy some time today. It is a new unit so the parts will be covered. I think it is just a bad capacitor. Still I am sure it will cost $100 for the labor. Oh well, can't believe it picked yesterday to go bad with the heat at 90!! Good thing I had some friends to stay with. I figured I could hold off for one night considering I would have had to pay an overtime charge and the A/C guy might have shown up and not even have had the right capacitor he would need.
May 1
1.25 miles - Warm-up
2.50 miles - 5x2:00 Hill Repeats
1.25 miles - Cooldown
It might have been a little further but either way a descent workout!!
Master's
I made the 822.7 miles for the month of April!!! It was tough. I will probably slack the mileage in May and start some speed training. Hopefully I will be fast before Couer d'Alene!! Hill repeats or track is on the agenda for this evening!! Plus it is suppose to get to 89 today!!!! I don't like it that hot!!
Warning!!! This is a public service anouncement about a new product on the market.......stay away from anything that looks like the following:
They are highly addictive and you will find that you eat them without even knowing it!!!!
April 30
Zone 1 drainer ride!!
Master's - Drills and more drills!!
I only need 8 more bike miles to complete the 822 mile challenge for the month of April. I should be able to get that in after work......either on the drainer or on the bike getting use to the race wheels!! I had my Felt worked on last week so it should be in working order for this coming weekend. Had some new cables put on, new brakes, new chain, etc.....
As for the race this past Saturday. It was fun. It kinda gave me an idea of how my legs might feel for the Ironman. My legs would not give me anything on the hills and my heart rate would shoot up. On the flats I was fine for the most part and could run some people down but they would pass me on the hills........I bet none of them road 300 miles last week!!!
April 29
Recovery Run.
Not quite 40000 for the month but I still have one day left. We'll see!!!
4000- 8x500 (1:52 pace)
If you guys know of anyone who needs a place to stay at White Lake then tell them to PM me. I had one guy drop out. It will be $75 plus tax and I have the room for Friday and Saturday night. It is within a mile of the start and the motel is called Golston's.
With the 3 mile recovery run this morning, I met the 100 miles of running this month for the 822 mile club. Now I just have to get my biking to 700, which should get done, and the swimming to 40000 yards. I plan to swim this afternoon. Hopefully I can get a big chunk knocked out!!
I had almost 1500 minutes of training last week.........whew!!! I need to rest!!!

My legs arrived a little late to the party but when they got there they were ready to go!!!
I was so proud of my legs!!! I negative split the run by over 2-1/2 minutes and my legs still felt strong!!
To the dock, not the mat. Add another 30" to get to the timing mat probably. I think I got a few extra yards in for some dumb reason!!
