Steady medium distance. Was supposed to be 6 miles, but I felt good so I added one to it. My right knee still feels a little... tight, but it felt alright for most of the run. I didn't take any motrin this morning as I sometimes do for my longer runs because I wanted to see how my knee really felt.
My HR was lower for this pace/RPE than usual. I'm seeing a slight decline of my avg HR over the past couple of weeks, which is good.

Swim while waiting for Ethan's swim lessons. His lessons are going really good. They are working on freestyle and backstroke. The instructor is really focusing on stroke technique, and he seems to be picking it up pretty well. Maybe he can teach me when he finishes his lessons.
Got some of my wallet issue handled today. Got a new military ID, but I need to go have another one made tomorrow because the computer chip didn't program right and computer went down. But it was at least something to get me through the day. Also got my drivers license stuff rolling. Just have to wait for the NJ DMV to send my clearance letter. It's such a hassle to deal with the govt for anything, be it federal, state, or city. So much red tape.
Anyways, hopefully I'll get my run in tomorrow that I missed today.

Wow, I lost my friggin' wallet today. I never realized what a pain in the ass that could be!!! Cancelling all check cards/credit cards. Government travel card (mastercard). Drivers license. Military ID. Social security card. USAT card (like I've needed it so far this year). Library card. Gym card. Blockbuster card. Moviewatcher card. Whatever else I can't remember right now.
Luckily, I only had like $15 on me at the time. I think I left it either on the bumper of my car or on the roof when I left Home Depot this afternoon. I was wearing athletic shorts without pockets (which I know better), so I was carrying it around with me.
Damn it's frustrating!!!!

Easy run with a goal of negative splits. Not much of a difference in the splits, but at least I got the negative part down. Little bit of twinge in my right knee. I noticed that during the race yesterday too. Nothing major, but I'm going to ice it and keep an eye on it. Tomorrow either bike or swim, and medium distance run on Wed.
Did my race report from yesterday.

Trainer Ride. Uneventful.
More baseball today. The allstar game yesterday was cancelled due to weather. They played today and it was hot, but at least no rain or lightning. Tomorrow morning, going to do the Spillway Classic 3 miler. Should be fun. Then on to baseball awards ceremy, pizza party and pool party for the kids. Busy weekend!
Trainer ride today was alright. Rode on the trainer because I had Ethan.

Supposed to have a 2 mile racethis evening at 7pm that I'm already registered for, but it's been pouring all afternoon. Hopefully it'll let up.Got word today that I may be going to Kuwait and Bahrain in September with a couple of other guys to give training to some of the teams over there. It's only for a week or so, so it shouldn't be too bad. Ethan thinks I'm going over to jump in a foxhole with a machine gun or something. I tried to explain that it's not like that. I'll find out more next week.
8pm: Had the race. It went good. Even though it was a really short race, I'm doing up a race report. It'll be fun to read next year when I am throwin' down a 12 minute 2 miler. ;)
