Let the beer flow!

I ran a half marathon around roswell to get the juices flowing.   McMillan puts me at 3:38 for my marathon with this time.  It wasn't an all out effort, but it was a strong effort.  I can't see myself holding 8:15 per mile for 26.2 miles.  Maybe I need to HTFU.

Dinner:

Beef Wieners with Pom Frites and a tomato sauce.

Steph won't be home for dinner so the girls and I will feast on Oscar Meyer.

I rode the drainer and watched Borat for as long as I could take.  Next I went for a run through the Leita!

 Dinner:

Salads with fresh arugula and bibb lettuce from the garden topped with:

Green beans, carrots, mushrooms, celery, craisins, apples, walnuts, and some fresh herbs.

Protein: Grilled NY stripped sliced up and some hard boiled eggs.

Bread: Homemade by Steph!

Libation: Ice cold blonde ale straight from the brewery.  I wish I had a nice white wine, but we are out.

Hilly Run

I ran 10 miles of the 40 mile roswell bike route.  Up and out of the neighborhood across 92, right on jones, right on Bowen, through waverly hall and wildwoodsprings, and then back into brookfield.

I need to do this run more often.  It kicked my rear.

The Last Long Run.

I left from the Roswell Rec and did a Tour de Roswell.  I did this run faster because I wanted to test out my race pace for the marathon.  I think I'm going to run 8:20-8:30 per mile for the first 20 miles and then I'll take what I can put out for the next 5  miles of uphills.  It seems odd to plan a positive split, but I don't see holding a strong pace up those hills.  I guess I'll know in three weeks if this was foolish.

Rode to the elementary school to pick up Annika.

I ran first to wait for it to warm up and then went out and road the Roswell route.  I switched out the race wheels for the training wheels and I didn't put the rear cog on tight enough.  I decided to quit and pedal softly home.  Next time I'll test out my handy work prior to the ride. :(
