What an amazing race, so many people! I have never run in such a large group, I spent a lot of time just side-stepping walkers and slower runners. This certainly was not a fast run, but it sure was fun and perfect weather too!

An easy run today to keep my legs moving for the race tomorrow. Not too hot but very humid after the rain this morning. Probably just like what it will be like during the race. I need to get used to this; it's pretty much what the whole summer will be like only hotter!

Swim Clinic
2x100 WU
lots of drills, and some laps, learning new strokes, lost count
3x100 CD

Got in my swim today. We watched a number of videos before getting in the water. To break up the monotony of freestyle laps I am learning how to become efficient at backstroke and breaststroke. We did some fun and some tough drills. I love to swim any style, and oddly enough today was a great day for me to get back on track with freestyle; after all those drills and working on other strokes my freestyle form has never been better.

Much better run than yesterday. Lovely morning, 34* and sunny, felt great, had no problmes with my leg. Yea!

I usually don't do anything on Tuesdays and Thursdays after classes, but I am trying to get in a little something each day. Today was supposed to be a short and sweet little run, but shortly into it, I got a horrible spasm in my right leg that nearly grounded me. I am pretty sure it was do to my impatient warm up, among other things. I tried to run it out, and had to stop twice to message my leg. By the end of the two miles it was feeling better. Days like these really can test your resolve, I pushed through it, but I am wondering if I will get my six miles in tomorrow morning.

So I started my clinic tonight and it went well. Coach Mary, works you quite hard and boy do I feel it now. I will be sore tomorrow, not something that usually happens when I swim by myself!

I have not been in the pool for over a week and a half. Tonight I start a month long clinic two times a week and really felt I needed to get into the pool to kind of, 'warm up' for tonight. I really thought I would be crappy today but I did better than expected with my form. We'll see what happens tonight...

Yea! Got my run in. However, it was a horrible run. I felt sooo tired. I guess after a week of not running, staying up late, a bit too much partying (OK a lot of partying) and not the best diet, I should not be surprised. Now I jusy have to get back on track!

I am finally going home today. Yea! I have been having way to much fun but at the same time the work has been hard. I am hoping, planning, to get in a run this evening. It will be the first time in almost a week. I have a lot to catch up on!
