Started out like a gang buster at 22 mph. Averaged close to 21 mph on the out leg but left knee started throbbing so I had to back off on the return trip. Essentially alight ride to get the legs loose for the Bellin.

What a beautiful day for a ride! Legs felt great. Really pulled up hard on the clips on the hills which kept my cadence up.

MD appointment today. Got home from work, grabbed the bike, rode to the polling station to vote and off to the appt. Really a decent report. A1c higher than I want (7.5) but it is as I figured working all of those 12.5 hr night shifts and not exercising. The number that really floored me was my overall cholesterol: 124! HDL=40, LDL=74. Overall, good numbers. I have noticed a definite drop in my testing bgl since I came out of outage. Look forward to 3 month check up.

 

Got the telescope set up and had the privelege to witness an awesome spectacle as Venus came directly between us and the Sun!
