Giro Advantage 2 gear reviews

I highly recommend this helmet. It may not be the flashiest model around, but it gets the job done and is a relative bargain.

All of these helmets suffer from the same structural defect around the earpiece and it is only a matter of time before they crack. You can only be careful for so long and eventually you will accidentally put just a little too much pressure on the plastic when pulling it over your ears. Contact Giro and demand replacement with a better design. Bell owns Giro. The Bell Meteor II, which is not marketed in the US, has none of these problems. Bell has no incentive to take market share from its flawed line of Giro Advantage II helmets being sold in the US.

I'd probably not buy this again just because of the cracks (which are constantly getting bigger). I'm going to see if Giro will help me out with this or not.

This is a must item if you are a Triathlete.

I am happy with this helmet overall, but I will spend an extra second or two when putting it on to not bend the ear flaps.
