"This is my first road bike, and I admit I took a big leap forward with this purchase, but I think the bike is awesome. The frame is stiff and light and after my fitting (Trek of Estero) the bike is very comfortable. The bike handles great and feels fast (although I don't yet have the engine required to make this machine really perform)."snowriderinfl

Quality of Construction

I have had no issues with the construction of any component of the bike.

Fit

I needed to change the stem because The pro geometry was too aggressive for me. That being done the bike is very comfortable.

Comfort

At first I was worried about the saddle. After a couple of rides, the saddle was no longer a concern. At this point in time I do not plan to change it.

Adjustability

From what I can tell Trek has done a great job allowing to frame to be fit to the rider. Several different seat masts (instead of seat post) are available to move the seat forward, as well as different heights; it was very easy to swap out the stem to meet my requirements.

Performance

I am still getting used to the bike, however it feels fast and it turns like it is on rails. I have taken a few corners at 15-20 mph and have really leaned into the turn. The Bike felt like it grabbed the road and could handle even more lean and speed. Now that I am learning to relax my grip on my aero bars the bike tracks very well and points where I want it to go.

Strengths

OCLV Black Carbon made in U.S.A.. Frame looks great, feels great and is light. I have the 52 cm and believe the bike weighs in at 16 Lbs, The Ultegra SL shifts very smoothly (although living in florida, I have not had the opportunity to try it on a climb). The carrara blue color is brilliant and I have gotten many complements on it.

Weakness

Cost, but well worth it.
The pro geometry was too aggressive for me so during my fit we changed the stem so the bike would fit me better.

The performance geometry was not available, that is why I went with the pro.
