"I have never been dissatisfied with Garmin. I sell their products in my store and will not let this one isolated incident of a defective unit ruin my love of the product.
I love the 20 hour battery. And I love that you can take it in the water. At IMCdA in 2010 I had the awesome experience of using it for the entire race...11 hours and 6 minutes...and it wasn't even half way run down at the end! "DivergentQ
Ease of use
A little difficult to get going the first time, but once you get the hang of it, its really handy!
Quality of Construction
Well made unit. Took a few falls and kept going.
Fit
Better size than the older 205 and 305 so it wasn't so obtrusive. Weight is lighter too.
Comfort
Never really notice it's there unless I look at it.
Adjustability
No worries there...it fits on my bike and it fits on my wrist...fully adjustable.
Durability
Well, this unit kinda crapped out on me 9 months after I bought it, but I'm sure it's a fluke. I've had other Garmin products that are still working YEARS after I bought them. I still have a 101 that I bought in 2008 that works fine (minus the sound).
Value
Well, I got it for a great price (employee discount PLUS a rebate of 50 bux from Garmin) so to ME it was a great value.
Appearance
I like the way it looks.
Customer Service
Can't say enough about how good Garmin customer service is. They're friendly and totally understanding. The CS guy that I got on the phone, his name was Jason, was totally on the same page as me and never sounded like he was questioning me.
Performance
Most of the time it was great. I just can't give it a perfect mark because of the malfuntion.
Strengths
SUPER fast signal acquisition. Accurate timing and distance. Easy to use. Lots of data at your fingertips. LONG battery life. Water resistance.
Weakness
Well at 9 months of use before breaking, THIS PARTICULAR unit wasn't very durable.
