"Good shoe, just not worth the price to me anymore when I can get the same benefit from a cheaper shoe that might even last longer.

I might be back to Newtons at some point but for now I have found a much cheaper alternative.

Not bad but not great. At 350 miles the upper has two tears in it where my toes flex. The lugs are all but flat at this point which has caused the heel drop to be too steep so I am hitting my heels now. I have pretty well retired these shoes after 350 miles.

Pretty tight in the toe box. I liked the tight fit, but with my new shoes the fit isn't as tight and I am starting to like that more.

Seemed to fit true to size for me.

Comfortable shoe. Lots of cushioning which I think helped in my transition to midfoot running, but now that I am here I prefer a little less cushion and a little more road feel.

The lugs were hissing as if they were a flat tire after 250 miles. I went another 100 on them and the lugs are flat to the bottom of the shoe now. I started at 200lbs and am now 185. So not the lightest runner but not the heaviest either.

I also was running almost completely on my forefoot for the first 150 miles or so which might have compressed the lugs a little sooner than they should have.

I just can't justify $150 for 350 miles of use. That is $1 for every 2.3 miles of running.

The shoes don't look that worn out but the lugs have collapsed which threw the heel toe drop out of whack and now when I wear these shoes it is difficult to not strike my heel which was flaring up the knee and shin problems again. I bought a new pair of shoes and instantly the problems were gone so I am pretty sure these Newtons were just worn out.

Good shoe, I just can't afford to replace $150 shoes every 350 miles.

Not the coolest design ever, but not bad looking.

Good shoe overall, I really appreciate what it did to transition me to a midfoot strike. They are a bit heavy but not bad.

If not for the price I probably would have bought another pair. Instead I went with some Scott T2's for $85 and have really enjoyed them so far. Lighter than the Newtons, faster, provide more road feel, allow me to keep my midfoot strike, and above all a heck of a lot cheaper. Now that I am running decent mileage for the first time I don't want to pay $150 every 350 miles for shoes.

Promotes better running, great transition shoe.

Too expensive.
