"Good cold-weather gear for a beginner on a budget. Can be used on the bike or run in cold weather. It's bulky and thick, so if it becomes too hot, you have to figure out where to put it or hold it for the rest of the workout. The plastic face part serves to keep it from flying up or bouncing around, which is effective for keeping the warm air in. Because it isn't tight, it doesn't create the sensation of having to fight to suck in a breath.

This is made of fleece, and the fleece seems to be of decent quality, without any bare or fraying areas.

Unlike my thin balaclavas I already own, this one is not tight around my face and neck, but hangs more loosely. It still covers everything and cold air does not get in, but it doesn't fog up my sunglasses as much, since my breath has room to go somewhere inside the balaclava when I exhale.

Very warm. Soft. No rubbing seams or other problems.

There is no adjustability. It just goes over your head and that's it.

Pretty amazing for the extremely low price.

Very warm and will perform better than my existing, more expensive balaclavas in serious cold weather. Because it hangs loosely, it still covers everything and cold air does not get in, but it doesn't fog up my sunglasses as much, since my breath has room to go somewhere inside the balaclava when I exhale.

Makes me look like a combination ninja/bank robber. Also it's very warm and thick. On a cold but not freezing run, it's nice to have for the first mile, but then it becomes too warm and it's hard to fit in a pocket because it's so bulky.
