Thanks for asking.  I don't have anything specific.  About a week into the ordeal, the family stopped sharing details.  I think the media onslaught was overwhelming.  I'm not close enough them to feel comfortable asking.  I have seen some general things like she'll be walking "soon enough."  

As you can imagine, the support from the local community has been very strong.  Tons of fundraising runs.  The County pool held a full day of Masters classes (open to everyone) with all proceeds going to the fund.  My LBS had a full week of CompuTrainer classes with all proceeds going to the fund.  It's been incredible and I hope the money raised will be able to assist significantly.  I know they have a long way to go.

Also, thank so much to everyone here who offered kind words or went out of their way to sent Nicole a card or present.  It's fantastic.

If you look at that link, there is a incredible video put together by their friends with the help of the Charlotte Checkers (local hockey team).  At 4:45 in the video, there is a picture of Nicole in her hospital bed.  She's smiling.  It's the best thing I've seen in a while.

Thanks for sharing that info.  We've been thinking about her a lot, and my girls keep asking if I know anything. I'll show them the video.
