Pre-race routine:

Up around 5 and had a bagel with pb and j. Headed down to Ft Carson and got the run around because out truck wasn't registered on that post....duh, we are a Peterson and they don't give out stickers! So, we waited in a long line after driving all the way around to another gate and finally made it to the race start.
Event warmup:

Sadly, not much....got there with enough time to get signed in and my transition set up. I was in wave 1 so there wasn't too much time to do anything.

The run started out across a large soccer field that happen to be wet and muddy, so my Zoot shoes got pretty wet. Oh well, still felt good on the run. The legs weren't as shot as they have been in the past after the bike.
