Swim
Comments: I really went out faster to the first buoy than I normally would, but I knew it was a short swim. I caught my breath again around the first buoy until the turn back to the dock and swma hard. I was passing alot of people and felt very good coming out of the water. What would you do differently?: push it the entire way. They say a race is not won on the swim, but I think I could have gone faster. Transition 1
Comments: For some reason, I had a diffucult time getting my shoes velcroed up right and then a hard time clipping into the pedals, I also opted to put on socks now rather than in T2 What would you do differently?: work on transitions Bike
Comments: My legs felt tight the minute I started riding my bike, so I had to make sure I was using the gears correctly. I knew the last coupld of miles were hilly and wanted to have something left for them. I started feeling strong about 5 miles into the ride. What would you do differently?: not sure Transition 2
Comments: not much to say here, felt like I had a good transition even though I had to re-tie my shoes, like I said earlier I did not prepare it area as well as I should have. What would you do differently?: setup T2 better Run
Comments: Man, I screwed up the run, I cannot figure out how to have a good trail run on this course. My left calf was twitching while I ran, pretty much the entire way. Pretty much did not feel good until I was about a 1/4 mile fromthe finish line. What would you do differently?: more bricks?/? Post race
Warm down: cold towel and cold water What limited your ability to perform faster: poor transition setup slowed me down and a horrible run Event comments: It is still my goal to hit under 1 hour at this race. I thought I could do it this year, but it wasn't meant to be. Last updated: 2012-07-16 12:00 AM

Got up, ate a muffin and drank soem water, used restroom and loaded up my gear and drove to the site. Got my transistion setup and talked with other athletes waiting for the womens race to finish.
Almost let the time slip away, before I knew it they were saying we had 10 minutes left before they were starting, so I grabbed goggles and jumped in for a quick swim. I really spent to much time talking to everyone and did not get things setup like I should have.
