Pre-race routine:

woke up at 4am. Had the alarm set for 5 but I was too excited. Drank 2 cups of coffee ate blueberry waffle.
Event warmup:

did about .5 miles jogging with some quick short intervals at the end. Very cold to start the race.

Comments:

Best run yet. The last 5k is the fastest 5k I've ever run. I'm feeling good and this "run a lot slow" is paying off!

I set out a race plan and executed. I kept my splits negative by just a little bit. Held back some at the beginning and finished with everything I had. I honestly don't think I had anything left at the end for any more distance. Can you race too hard?
What would you do differently?:

N-O-T-H-I-N-G!
Post race
Warm down:

waited about 14 minutes for bf in the finishers area. The chocolate was actually a bit much and my stomach wouldn't let me finish everything.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I performed to the best of my abilities so I guess my abilities limited my chances to go any faster.

Event comments:

The only bad thing about this race is the crowd. I clocked an extra 1/4 mile running around people. I had to go around folks and ended up in car traffic because there wasn't enough room to run. This was the theme from beginning to end.
