Comments: Awesome run. We were well ahead of our goal marathon race pace. We both decided that pace was probably to fast for the whole marathon but it was good to test the limits. I am very happy about how my body responded. What would you do differently?: Wear my fuel belt. The race was only giving out water, nothing else. Running for over 2 hours requires more than just water. Post race
Warm down: We walked around the race site. Drank my recovery smoothie. I am very happy the way my body responded. I am not really even sore the next day. What limited your ability to perform faster: The "fuel" given out at the aide stations. I think if I would have had some Gatorade and even 1 gel, I would have had more gas at the end. Not a whole lot. We were using this as more of a training run. We always have our chocolate covered espresso beans!
