Swim
Comments: I took it easy. I just wasn't sure how I would do after getting out if I swam at my regular pace. I wasn't looking to win. This was really just for fun and experience. What would you do differently?: Swim faster next time. Transition 1
Comments: Indoor bike. Much easier to transition. But I could have done with a few hills! What would you do differently?: Bring different shorts! OUCH! Bike
Comments: No matter what they said indoor trainers are a LOT of work. Sure there's not hills but there's no free rolling down hills either. It's constant and it sucked! What would you do differently?: Cycle outside! Transition 2
Comments: I was completely ready to go. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Run
Comments: I walked most of the 5K. I struggled with breathing at the start but after a couple of laps walking I got into the run. What would you do differently?: Train more at running. Post race
Warm down: Warm shower and a seat as well as some homemade peanut butter sandwich cookies. What limited your ability to perform faster: My lack of running skills. Event comments: The people at Trifreak are just so helpful but because I was in the last wave there were no water stands on the run and the massage lady left after the 3rd wave which really was unhelpful as I cramped up at the end. Nothing out of the ordinary. Got up around 8, ate some cereal, banana, yogurt and some OJ and tea.
Few stretches after a couple of laps in the pool. The massage area was jam packed.
