i would have trained more long distances i didn't i would run often but not further than 8 or 9 miles and it was rare when i did. mostly did 6 mile runs

Event comments:

ran out of sports drink on the bike!!! on the 56 mile bike ride not a drop of Gatorade!!! and the volunteers on the bike route near the half way mark were horrible...!!! dressed in red dresses and didn't want to be there...just horrible. made a man get off his bike to go to them because they were not going to him. i had to stop while a guy threw two bottle waters at me until i caught one. i hear the 2010 race was better equipped

Course: it was very familiar to me i would run and train along this area. so it was nice. and it was mostly under the trees so we were all shaded. but people from other cooler climates were dropping like flies i thought the weather was very nice.
