I struggled to get up and down the steep hills. The last .30 miles was the most difficult part of the run. My body wanted to stop.

Warm down:

I was spent. I walked to my family and sat down for a while.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Swimming and body weight(187). Actually, I was pretty happy with my results. I will do more Xterra races in the future. If I can improve at the swim I should move up slightly overall. I had forgotten how much fun mountain bike racing is.

Thanks to all the volunteers and the Evansville YMCA for hosting a challenging but fun event. I will attend this event annually!

Course: slick, wet, rooted course will steep hills that required momentum to make the climb. If this was not a trail I have ridden many times it would have been much tougher. I knew what to expect and did well.
