Total Time = 1h 48m 55s
Overall Rank = 8108/9107
Age Group = 35-39
Age Group Rank = 742/826
Pre-race routine:

had a virus in my lung all week,no sleep the night before the event and was not able to eat ...great pre-race conditions.
Event warmup:

telling myself i was going to finish and sipping Cytomax
Run
  • 2h 48m 55s
  • 13.1 miles
  • 12m 53s  min/mile
Comments:

the sun was there and i was feeling it! glad we had a tad of wind and many volonters to hose us
What would you do differently?:

not be sick, not be stressed, EAT and that would make me walk less from the mile 9 to 12!
wear some other shoes/socks...i got blisters in places new places

Post race
Warm down:

water, water and walking back to the hotel (about 2 miles...ouch)

What limited your ability to perform faster:

sickness, nerves,no hill training (hey the event said it was flat...i thought pancake flat...guess highway passes are considered flat in Ontario)

Event comments:

the only thing sad is the fact that, even if they asked my t-shirt size when i registered wich is large or Xlarge back in feb. they had only small and med when i came to get my race bag. they ran out of shirts a full day before the race and would not accomodate me with a men's t-shirt. this is very disapointing for (slow) runner like me. I am waiting for an answer to the e-mail i sent to tell them how disapointed i was not to be able to proudly display my accomplishement at the gym.
