Comments:

Decided earlier in the week that I wasn't going to use my watch or garmin and just run by feel. This was more of a training run to see how I'd do for my HIM coming up. Right before the race started we heard thunder and once I finally passed the timing mat it started to pour. This continued off and on the whole time. I have never run in this kind of weather. The first couple of miles were down hill which meant on the way back it would be up hill. Overall I took it somewhat easy and felt pretty good most of the time. The hills toward the end started to take it out of me a bit. The ride home was a little painful my piriformis muscle started to really bother me.
What would you do differently?:

Push it harder, I know I had it in me to push it more but wanted to see how I'd be running my half for my HIM coming up. Need to work my piriformis muscle more.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked around trying to find where to get my race jacket since they give them to you afterwards. Once I got that I got in my car.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not pushing myself harder, treated it like a training run.

Event comments:

Good race had plenty of volunteers. The post race couldn't tell you much about since I was wet and just wanted to get out of there.
