Pre-race routine:

Woke up, showered and out of the house by 4:30. Got to the race by 5:30, went to packet pickup, set up transition. This was my first relay event and was ready to kill the swim and bike.

I positioned myself near the middle. I really wanted to bust this swim. This was the first time I got kicked in the face. I also swam over someone that was crossing infront of me. I beat last years swim by over 2 minutes. Coming out of the water there were shells everywhere and my feet were all cut up.

First lap was slow. Still trying to catch my breath from the swim. After all was said and done I beat my last years time by over 3 minutes. Oh the race people changed the course a little and had us go out and come in a different way. Wasn't very fun having to jump over speed bumps on the way out and in.
What would you do differently?:

More biking!

My friend Drew ran. He did an awesome job with a 20 mins 09 sec run! He didn't like the hill at the turn around.

Great race. WE got 3rd place in the all male relay division. Was really happy about that. They did not hand out finisher medals this year. I will be back next year!
