Pre-race routine:

Sat night we had whole grain pasta and pesto topped with baked chicken. Woke up at 0415, ate a bagal with peanut butter with a banana. We left Ann Arbor at 0500 and arrived in Lansing at 0600.

I had a bad experience last year at Lansing Legislator Tri during the swim. During the first couple of practices I paniced because I developed a fear of lake water swiming. I did average today without totally freaking myself out in the water.

The bike was my strongest leg of the race. Passed many people while climbing hills. Stayed on an easier gear and seamed to work out ok. I did not shift gears at all during the course. I should probably work on that!

I felt like I was running really slow. I was suprised when I looked at the results and I was at a 9.19/min pace. I thought I was closed to a 10/min pace.
