Swim
Comments: Had a great swim. i felt a bit slow towards the end but overall did really well on NO training... Silly... get back into training What would you do differently?: train Transition 1
Comments: Still have problem skating to get on the bike... Gotta be a little more co-ordinated but marked improvement compared to last year Bike
Comments: Okay let's face some facts, 1: My sunscreen had washed off and I could feel the burn, 2: No amount of drinking could stop the heat, 3: Despite giving the bike what I had I found it hard to breath because of the TAR fumes coming off the heat of the road... Ugh. What would you do differently?: No excuse... Do some later rides in the heat of the day and buy a skins shirt to wear under my trisuit for this race. Transition 2
Comments: Pretty good transition... other than the stone in my run shoe... HELLO?? where did that come from. What would you do differently?: brush feet on the towel Run
Comments: So my shoulder got real sore on the run... I tucked it into my tri suit like a sling after walking for a bit getting frustrated with it... Was able to run with it tucked in. SLOW work but at least I finished Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: SUNBURN!!!!!OUCH OUCH OUCH OUCH OUCH Event comments: I put the post race activities at BELOW average because I crossed the finish line to the massage tent to get them to work on my shoulder and they CLOSED... THERE WERE STILL PEOPLE ON THE COURSE!!! ;_; I really needed some help with that shoulder... But other than that, GREAT race as usual, don't like how late the women go but what can we do eh... I'll just have to be more sunsmart next year... Last updated: 2009-10-13 12:00 AM
