Comments:

I went back on fourth on wearing a wetsuit but decided I would feel a lot better if I did. I knew I wouldn't be elgible for awards (not like I have to worry about that) but am kind of bummed that my name was out of the rankings and in a special section. However I did need the wetsuit b/c even though the water was nice and warm I still freaked out with all the people. I took 5 or 6 breaks--stopped to visit the lifeguards.
What would you do differently?:

Same thing I always say--swim! I have only swam at Chatfield twice this year. Also just need to go to the pool more.

Comments:

I had a hard time getting the wetsuit off but luckily a girl helped me out.

Should have hammered it. I thought we'd have a tail wind coming back but didn't.

Comments:

I was really surprised my run time was 3/16 because I felt SOOO slow but I guess the heat really hurt everyone.
Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster:

My lack of swim training and ability. Also it was so hot on the run!

Event comments:

Great race. I'd consider coming back for it again.

Course: The course was mostly out and back and had a few small rollers and some wind. I held back a little b/c I'd never rode 24 miles in a sprint. I felt fine on the bike and probably should have pushed it more.

Performance: Average
Course: Out and back with no shade. It was fairly flat but the heat was brutal. Tons of people walked. I felt extremely slow but tried to just keep moving forward. I didn't wear my Garmin so had no idea of the time. I passed people and didn't get passed until one lady right at the end.
