Comments:

Good swim overall. OK drafting, but not great. It seamed the guys I was drafting off were were not swimming the streightest of lines. I was probally drafting about 50% of the time & solo the other 50%. I was overall satisfied with my time.
What would you do differently?:

Better drafting.

Fine transition. No issues other than getting around the barricade seperating the spring transion from the half tranition.

Study transion layout better.

Fun ride. Acualy easier that I had anticipated based on all the earlier decriptions I had read. It was hot, but I realy don't mind biking in the heat.
I did have some bad stomach issues for the first 35 miles with trouble eating and drining so I didn't get quite as much food and fluids as I had planed. Once it went away, I felt great and picked up the pace for the last 20 miles.
What would you do differently?:

Bike was my weak point in the race. So this is what I need to work on for the next one.

Started to get my feet out of shoes a little late and the dismount line came a little quicker than I was expecting, so I wasn't complete ready for the dismount.

For the first time my run wasn't my weakest link. Don't know if my run is improving, or simply the conditions slowed everyone else down closer to my level. Overall it was hot, humid and sunny, but based on the earlier reviewes I had read, this is exactly what I was expected, so I paced accordingly.
What would you do differently?:

Maybee some hot humid run training? Long training runs in mid-day heat?

Warm down:

Jumped in lake.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Conditions. I realy have trouble running in the heat & humidity.
Also being sick the two weeks prior to the race had some negative mental impact and posibly some physical impact as well, but overal I felt beter that I thought I would.

Event comments:

Volunteers were great. Event was well setup and organized. Late start was a little fustrating, but overall not to mutch of an issue.
The free hat was a nice bonus.
