Planned to go out easy, but kind of got swept out with the fast pack ... settled into a rythm after I lost touch with them. Overall a good run, conditions were a little tough, lots of mud and wet conditions. Still love trail runs.
What would you do differently?:

Take it a little easier on the start, work into my pace instead of working back to it.

I did this same race in 2008 and was about 1:30 quicker on the bike. Conditions were similar, but I think my fitness was better then. Haven't been able to ride much this winter with the snow/cold we've been having. Normally spend more time on the trainer than I have this year also. Overall, good bike. Stayed aero most of the time. Never passed and I pased 5 or 6 I guess.

Kind of ran a nice steady pace here ... just a lot slower than the first run. Got passed late in the going which pissed me off, but what can you do.
What would you do differently?:

Fight a little harder to maintain my position. Didn't fight to hard to avoid being passed.

This is a really small low-key race. I really enjoy the course, the trail runs are a lot of fun, as is the bike course.
