Swim
Comments: Worst part was getting to the point where you could swim. The rip-tide and waves made it really difficult to get out past the surf. Once out, took about 100-200m to get heart rate down and into a good rythm. After that, everything was great. Transition 1
Comments: The run up the hill to transition seemed a little bit mean, but overall was pretty good. What would you do differently?: I need to learn how to take off with my shoes already attached to the bike. It would save me a lot of time in the transitions. Bike
Comments: Performed much better on the bike than anticipated. I kept easing up in fear that I wouldn't have anything left for the run. Turned out I could have gone a little harder. What would you do differently?: Ridden harder. Transition 2
Comments: T2 went a little slower than expected since somebody had racked their bike in my spot. I had to find a home for my bike before I could move on. Run
Comments: Felt pretty good on the run. Took it easy on the first lap to get my legs back under me. Sped up for the second lap and even had enough left to sprint the last 1/2 mile. Post race
Warm down: Lots of stretching. Event comments: Overall a good race. The packet pick up was chaos since everybody had to filter through 1 line (people registering, paying for the race & 1 day license, and those of us that already had done all this) Could have had different lines to allow us to pass through quicker. Other than that, things went pretty smooth. Last updated: 2010-03-24 12:00 AM

Get up early, breakfast, and set-up transition.
Lots of stretching, easy mile run, easy bike, swim just enough to get wet and loose.
