What would you do differently?: warm up 500 yards Transition 1
Comments: i struggled with one foot in the suit. i was 12th out of 465 but i know i can do better. 12th overall. Bike
Comments: I CLEARLY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO BIKE. I have a decent bike. I finished 16th in the swim 12th in the run an and SIXTY NINTH in the bike. I am dissapointed, dismayed, bewildered. I know I need to spend more time on my tri bike. I need to figure out HOW to ride it right. I need ot develop the tri bike specific muscles. I should be in the top ten at races this size but my biking is so disproptionate to my other abilities I am just out of hte top 20. Frustrated! Transition 2
Comments: A friend was racked next to me who was nowhere to be seen in T! but he caught me on the bike. He threw his bike on right after me so I had to get out fast. This helped with my shoes because I didn't cinch them up tight. This actually felt good. It was fun seeing Rick in T2. I tied for 7th best T2 - Rick was number 1. Run
Comments: I was glad to have someone I knew just behind me to push me and at the turn around I saw an age grouper up ahead. I sprinted to get behind him so he could take the head on wind for me. when we turned into the woods I went by and kept going for fear he would get me. It was on wet dirt and grass so I am OK with my time. What would you do differently?: I need new shoes. Post race
Warm down: a mile run, dip in the water. I rode a little later that day What limited your ability to perform faster: I DON"T KNOW HOW TO RIDE MY BIKE! Event comments: I really like this race. Transition is a bit long. Plenty of good post race food. Last updated: 2010-04-07 12:00 AM
