Pre-race routine:

woke at 4, drank shake, got dressed and gary and i were on the shuttle down to the oval. got body marked, went to pump my tires and fill my bottle and bento box then went out to wait for the gals.

only got punched in the face three times. pretty intimidating b/c every time you find a bit of a hole, someone swims over to crash into you. pretty crazy

well i was able to run most of the run except when my back was twingy. i walked the reststops and some of the hills, but was able to run right up until the end with a big smile on my face!!!

hobbled around and found Gary and my dad.

Event comments:

i had a great first IM experience. Michele, Alicia, Lauren, Jean, Barb. F., Patty and Jeanne were there to cheer me on along with my family. Even Brad and Kristin were there to cheer me on. Super big thank you to everyone for being there for/with me. Gary, thanks for helping my dream come true.
