Pre-race routine:

Had coffee and granola bar and a banana, hour and a half drive to the race site, showed up 2 hours early to get a good parking spot.

Comments:

I really hurt myself doing this race, I didn't realize how band my ITBS is getting. I had registered for this race awhile ago and with my stubbornness didn't want to DNS. The rain and winds didn't help either, my shoes and socks were soaked and weighed a ton.
What would you do differently?:

Hard to answer, I love racing, but the ITBS really hurts, so I would probably try to see a doctor sooner about this to start treatment. I didn't go to the doctor this week because I knew she would have told me not to run this race and I really wanted to run it.
Post race
Warm down:

Changed my soaking wet clothes, went to Starbucks on the way home and enjoyed a latte.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Rain, winds, and ITBS.

Course: Flat, first 6-7 mile was raining, heavy winds as well. Both my IT bands started flaring up around mile 2 and I ran the rest of the race in pain.
