Pre-race routine:

Got up at 6:00am and headed down to the race area. Had a cliff bar and some water, arrived on site at 6:45am, got my gear into transition, got marked, and waited around
Event warmup:

Went for a quick run of about 1/4 mile, got on my wetsuit and got into the water for about 5 minutes beforehand

another bad OWS for me, just can not get going, not sure if it is nerves or just I am a terrible open water swimmer. Did not sight well for the first half, much better coming back though.

Pretty good run, first mile I was at 7:10 and then 15:00 at mile 2. Was wanting to come in below 23:00 and beat it so pretty happy.
