Overall Rank = 27/421men

Pre-race routine:

Up @ 6. Had to pack the car and help clean the house before we left. This was my warm up.
Event warmup:

No real warm up. Water was colder today, so I didn't jump in.
Swim
  • 13m 53s
  • 750 meters
  • 01m 51s / 100 meters
Comments:

Windy, choppy water, but I tried to swim faster than the day before. I swam a little faster, but I didn't feel as though I was sighting well.
What would you do differently?:

Swim faster
Transition 1
  • 01m 40s
Comments:

Not good. I got lost in transition. I didn't know where my bike rack was.
What would you do differently?:

Study the layout of Transition. This in inexcusable and a rookie mistake. Still, my time from today is faster than yesterday's Int'l race, with the same Transition area.
Bike
  • 33m 30s
  • 12 miles
  • 21.49 mile/hr
Comments:

Definitely faster than yesterday. I pushed the loop pretty hard. No rain, but still very windy. I didn't bother with the HR monitor on the Sprint since I knew that I just had to go all out anyway. Didn't get passed at all.
What would you do differently?:

Race harder and keep on training
Transition 2
  • 01m 24s
Comments:

Still not good. Need to work on this. But was faster than yesterday's Int'l race.
What would you do differently?:

Practice
Run
  • 21m 17s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 06m 50s  min/mile
Comments:

All out as hard as I could. My legs felt fine given that this was day 2 of racing. Averaged under 7 minutes per mile is great for me. PR at this distance for a Sprint Tri, but still not as fast as the 2010 Turkey Trot.
What would you do differently?:

Keep training
Post race
Warm down:

Waited a few minutes to cheer on Lisa at the finish. Got some food and chnaged clothes and watched Lisa get a 2nd place Age Group award.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

This was a good race for me. Felt more prepared than the day before. The weather was also much nicer. Sunny, but still windy

Event comments:

Great early season Sprint race in open water and not in a pool.
