Peanut butter and honey sandwich 3 hours before race time.
Stay hydrated with 1/2 strength Gatorade.
Event warmup:

Biked 3 miles in easy gear, stretched, ran 1/2 mile, stretched, swam 150 yards, stretched, waited for the gun.

Comments:

I waited 10 seconds after the start before entering the water to avoid the crowd. Did a few breast strokes intermittently to navigate. Felt long and smooth the entire course.

Rinsed off feet, put socks and shoes while sitting on my bucket (thanks for the article on this), got shirt helmet and glasses on, then took bike and ran.

Consider going without socks, get speed laces.
