I just tried not to hyperventilate; I was infinately more nervous about this race than ever before b/c we had such high hopes for the race.

Well, I didn't quite do this like I wanted and I had to stop for a few minutes to fix a gear problem which accounts for the time difference. I just wasn't used to having to put forth a continuous effort b/c of the flat course. I will say that I had a lot of fun.
What would you do differently?:

Train harder.
