Solid effort on the bike. Somehow I screwed up my bike computer before the race, and now everything was in kilometers instead of miles, so doing mental math kept me entertained. The course is challenging - no big climbs, but some solid rollers that keep you honest. The rain slowed things down also.

Consistent effort on the run - I was passed by one of the top women early on, but caught her and passed her in the last mile. Passed a few other guys too.

Event comments:

This was my first triathlon since IMLP in 2008. I did very little bike training or swim training this year, and really just wanted to do this race for fun. Apart from the pouring rain, I had a great time, and really enjoyed the experience. I have to be pretty happy with my times, too. The times are an estimate based on my own watch, since they included transition times in the splits.
