Pre-race routine:

Woke up early and had a bagel with some peanut butter. Drove down to the Navy Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, picked up my race premium, and got into the starting corral.

Comments:

After the first mile, the course marshall sent us in the wrong direction. We went about a little less than a quarter of a mile before a police officer came and turned us around to join back with the group. I was thinking about pulling out of the race, but just stuck with it to see how it ended up. I spent way too much energy trying to get back to the front of the pack. Felt pretty crappy from miles 6 to the end.
What would you do differently?:

Overall thought the course was decent and challenging. I'm still covering somewhat from the Philadelphia Marathon so I wasn't 100%, but felt okay.
Post race
Warm down:

Beer in the heated post race event. The band that was playing wasn't too bad!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Getting sent the wrong direction on the course.

Event comments:

The mile markers were off, the course marshals weren't the greatest, they sent us the wrong way, and the course was a little crowded. The 1/4 zip jacket premiums were pretty good though!
