Pre-race routine:

alarm 4:30, peanut butter and jelly on cinnamon bread, coffee, headed to race, parked at 14th and prospect, long walk to stadium
Event warmup:

no time, restroom lines long, saw a couple of friends in the start corral

Comments:

took first mile easy, second mile good, then porta potty stop, tried to stay conservative, felt good half way so picked it up a little, picked it up quite a bit last 3 miles, still some left in the tank at the finish,

training for and running a full really helped my half marathon, felt easy by comparison
What would you do differently?:

maybe a little faster first 3 miles, was a PR, and faster than last time I ran the course by about 8 mins

Warm down:

water, chocolate milk, walk to gear check and then to car

What limited your ability to perform faster:

porta potty stop, crowding in first mile

fun race, great weather, good crowd, performed well, half feels easy after a full
