Pre-race routine:

Awoke with bagel honey / peanut butter. Got to transition with plenty of time. One word of caution -- look out for ANTS. Set stuff up, went to get water, when I came back I had a colony of ants all over towel / shoes / bike. Had to move to new location after rinsing all ants off. Took extra 12 minutes and almost didn't get ready in time.
Event warmup:

Short swim in Lake
Swim
  • 40m
  • 2112 yards
  • 01m 53s / 100 yards
Comments:

Water was warm...so much so that it was actually wet suit illegal. Sighting was good. There was a little traffic at first, but spread out quickly.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing. Out of three lengths of major bouys, had one really good one and the other two were so - so form wise.
Transition 1
  • 04m 30s
Comments:

Had to rinse ants off again - what a pain in the ass.
What would you do differently?:

Bring ANT spray next time
Bike
  • 3h 17m
  • 56 miles
  • 17.03 mile/hr
Comments:

Had a terrible bike because front tubular wheel would not hold air. Realized at 10 miles that tire was low, got off but couldn't get inflator to work (broken adapter). Stopped at mile 25 and luckily they had a pump. This lasted to mile 38, but then deflation happened again. Limped it home slowly since it felt unsafe to ride on. Was grounding out when I stood up on hills.
What would you do differently?:

Think I'm going with clinchers from now on. Would have been easier to fix.
Transition 2
  • 04m 50s
Comments:

The ants were at least not in my shoes.
Run
  • 2h 56m
  • 13.1 miles
  • 13m 31s  min/mile
Comments:

I was zapped from extra energy to keep forward motion on flat tire. Barely ran at all.
What would you do differently?:

Try running
Post race
Warm down:

They had a tent with sprinkler that was nice. Skipped food tent to get on the road

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Heat and hills which are my two worst enemies on any course.

Event comments:

This was a really well run race. Setup did a great job of keeping the aid stations well stocked with ice / water / HEED. Didn't care for the HEEd too much but at least there was plenty of it. Course was well marked. It was a tougher course than I imagined but challenging. Would do again with right tires / better fitness.
