Pre-race routine:

Loaded with Race Day Boost: Tues-X1, Wed-X2, Thurs-X3, Fri-X2. Woke at 4:30, aquaphored feet and usual spots (no chafing this time!). Took an Alleve. Brother droped me off at the Nutter Center to catch shuttle to start (no wait at all!). Grabbed large coffee on the way. Ate a banana at home, and another waiting around under the tent and the AF Museum.. Met other Marathon Maniacs at the Marathon Maniacs tent, took group pic ahead of time. Dropped gear off at gear check. Took 1 drop of creatime, and put 5 more in the Gatorade in the sports bottle I carried wohle race (last 2 marathons too), and 1 powerbar gel, berry with caffeine, about 15 minutes before start. Had 3 more gel packs pinned to my belt, lost one during race. Took 3 Anti-fatigue caps and 1 enduralyte abot an hour before start.
Event warmup:

not much, very light stretching. Was wearing black trashbag, peed one last time while in the corral with my patented "pee in your empty coffee cup in the corral under the trashbag so no one knows what you're doing" technique.

Comments:

Rained first couple miles, had MM shirt and hat on . Was pretty humid, maybe why HR so high first couple miles. Took shirt and hat off by mile 3, and was overcast and cool rest of race. Walked .05 mile at miles 5,9,12,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23,24,25. Mile 22 actually walked .10m up a large overpass. Took gel at m7, m14, and at m21 took a Gu from the course because I lost one of mine. Took an Alleve at m10 and m20. Put water on my head most stops. Added gatorade to my bottle at 2 or 3 water stops, which were consistantly every mile. Took enduralytes and anti-fatigue caps throughout race, probaby 5-6 each. Around mile 7 stepped in an 8" round, about 3 or 4" deep pothole filled with water! Almost twisted my ankle but saved it. Thought for sure bruised the top of my foot on the sharp edge of the pothole. Volunteer saw this and ran a cone over to put on it.
What would you do differently?:

Not have so many marathons following this and train to BQ this course. Very doable with a cool overcast day like that.

Warm down:

A 3-Star Air Force General gave me my medal! Was cool to have my brother, mom, wife, and boys in the grandstand at the finishline when I finished (they got there 30 seconds prior!!) So my brother got a couple good pics of me finishing.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

marathons coming up.

Course: Nice! Big hills in beginning and near end, otherwise very flat, not too many sharp turns.
